How To Use {Language} Tag?

Many Cyara users having difficulties using Language tag to override the default recognition (ASR) language set for the Account. Here are the most common questions asked:

How to use {Language} Tag?

  • Open Expect To Hear menu
  • Select {Language} Tag from the tags drop down and click +Tag button:
  • In the bottom switch to Raw view:
  • Adjust Language Code
  • Click Save

If ASR Language set for the Step1 will the next Step go back to default ASR Language?

Yes.

Can {Language} Tag be used more than 1 time per step?

Yes. {Language} Tag can be used multiple times in the single step to override the default ASR Language and / or to accommodate scenarios where the prompt is spoken in multiple languages in the IVR menu.

For example Choose the language menu, such menus are played in multiple language in a single prompt to explain it in different languages.

How to use {Language} multiple times in a single step?

  1. Open Expect to Hear menu
  2. Select {Language} Tag from the tags drop down, select the language you wish to use and then click +Tag button:

  3. Add the prompt text for that language.
  4. Select {Language} Tag from the tags drop down, select the second language you wish to use and then click +Tag button:

  5. Click on blobid2.png button to save the changes in the Expect to hear.

How to override the default ASR Language for the entire Test Case? Is it possible?

It is possible. Users can override default ASR Language for the entire Test Case by adding the {Language} tag into Notes field of the Test Case.
