Configuring QoS on Windows 2012

• Press Start
• type edit group policy

• Under Windows Settings expand Policy-based QoS

• Click Action -> Create new policy...
• Set Policy name, DSCP value, and click Next

Note: DSCP values may differ based on your network configuration. Best practice is to use Expedited Forwarding for RTP and Assured Forwarding for SIP.

• Select an application, or apply the policy for all applications, and click Next
• Select a Source IP address, or apply the policy for all IP addresses
• Select a Transport protocol for the policy.

Note: Cyara by default uses UDP for SIP and RTP transport.

Note: Cyara uses port UDP 5060 for SIP and UDP 46152+(Number of Concurrent Ports * 2) for RTP.

A rule for SIP over UDP and TCP will look like following:

• Click Finish

Repeat the procedure to add more rules if needed.
