Configuring QoS on Windows 2012
- Press Start
- type edit group policy
- Under Windows Settings expand Policy-based QoS
- Click Action -> Create new policy...
- Set Policy name, DSCP value, and click Next
Note: DSCP values may differ based on your network configuration. Best practice is to use Expedited Forwarding for RTP and Assured Forwarding for SIP.
- Select an application, or apply the policy for all applications, and click Next
- Select a Source IP address, or apply the policy for all IP addresses
- Select a Transport protocol for the policy.
Note: Cyara by default uses UDP for SIP and RTP transport.
Note: Cyara uses port UDP 5060 for SIP and UDP 46152+(Number of Concurrent Ports * 2) for RTP.
A rule for SIP over UDP and TCP will look like following:
- Click Finish
Repeat the procedure to add more rules if needed.
