The {BargeIn} tag allows you to interrupt an IVR prompt and begin speaking just as a real human would, this is useful to test more real world scenarios to mimic how real callers would interact with your IVR.
How to use {BargeIn} tag in a test case?
- Open Expect To Hear(ETH) menu of the step in which you expect the caller barge in.
- Select {BargeIn} Tag from the tags drop down and click +Tag button:
- Adjust the position of the tag in Expect to Hear field.
- Click Save.
How to decide the position of the tag?
There are two key elements to using the {BargeIn} tag successfully within a test case step, the PSST value of the step and the position of the tag.The PSST value of the step defines how long to wait before barging on the prompt by sending a reply. The position of the tag within ETH field determines how much of the prompt is used for confidence score calculation.
Speech recognition is performed with the text in the ETH field up to but not including the tag. Any text after the tag is ignored. The PSST value of the step and the position of the tag must correlate for the step to achieve a high confidence score. If the {BargeIn}tag is not in the correct position, the step can fail due to a low confidence score.
