The following tips are helpful when you create a Test Case.
Text to Speech (TTS) Rules
When using the Reply With type of "Speech" for a Test Case step, the following rules will be applied. Use these rules to better emulate human speech to improve your test case.
- If you use less than 15 numeric characters printed together without any spaces, this will be considered a single number and spelled out accordingly.
- If 15 or more numeric characters are used without any spaces, this will be played as individual numbers with zero delay between each.
- If a space is entered in between digits, the TTS engine will add a 100-millisecond delay between words.
- If a comma (‘,’) is entered in between digits, a 250-millisecond delay will be added between words.
Slowing Down DTMF Input
The default speed at which Cyara processes DTMF tones is very quick since it is automated and can send digits more quickly than a human. To emulate a human approach to entering DTMF tones, add a comma (‘,’) for a 250-millisecond delay and a period (‘.’) for a two-second delay between DTMF digits.
Simulating Barge-In
Audio prompts can be interrupted with your Test Case reply if you use
the
{BargeIn}
tag, which specifies the period of time after
the start of the prompt that the reply should be played in the PSST field. See
the
Tags section for further guidance.
Tags
Tags are a powerful addition to test cases which enable a range of extra functionality. See the Tags section for a full reference table of all available tags to be used within test cases.
