One of the prerequisites for Desktop Automation is that the Cyara Desktop Client must be running on the agent workstation that needs to connect to the Cyara Portal server. Only one instance of Desktop Client is allowed to run on a Windows session. For the case of Terminal Server, each Windows session can run the Desktop Client instance.
The Desktop Client is allocated to the respective Agent during the
Campaign start-up process. The Desktop Client allocation is done based on the
Desktop Address and Username specified at
Agent Details.
Note: If your environment is using Terminal Server for running the
Desktop Clients and all agents share the same Windows credentials, the Desktop
Clients are allocated randomly. In all other cases, the Desktop Clients are
allocated to the respective agent that matches the Desktop Address and Username
specified at
Agent Details.
To connect to the Cyara Portal server, perform the following steps:
Checking Runtime Logs
To check for any logs or any failures/errors of the Desktop Client,
click the
log icon, and a screen as shown below appears
displaying all the logs:
The logs that were generated recently appear at the bottom of the panel.
- To always keep the log window on top, check the Always on Top checkbox.
- To automatically scroll down to the most recent logs, check the Autoscroll To End checkbox.
- To check all the log files, check the Open Log Folder button.
