The Cyara Web Portal supports the playback of user-recorded audio files as replies to Expect to Hear prompts in addition to DTMF and Speech. This feature is particularly useful and provides the following benefits:
- Ability to test whether the Speech-based IVR correctly recognizes the customer utterance and plays the appropriate response. Playing back actual customer utterances or potential customer utterances with varied accents, noisy locations, and slight variations reduces the risk significantly when deploying and upgrading Speech-based IVR systems
- Ability to test biometric speaker verification
The Cyara Web Portal also supports data driven audio file playback in Test Cases. This enables you to upload multiple WAV files and reference them as data driven parameters.
The View Audio Files menu allows you to upload and manage recorded audio files. Audio files for playback can be specified as the expected reply in the Reply With field in the Test Case.
To use recorded audio files as responses in the Cyara Web Portal there are two options:
- Select the Audio File response option in the Test Case Reply Type field and upload an audio file or select a previously uploaded file.
- Add an audio file via the View Audio Files menu and continue as per above.
Supported Audio File Format
The audio file format supported by the Cyara Web Portal is the WAV format with the following attributes:
- Encoding: CCITT A-Law
- Sample Rate: 8 kHz
- Sample Size: 8-bit
- Data Rate: 64 Kbit/s
- Channels: Mono
