Cyara offers both an online Cloud hosted solution as well as the option to deploy Cyara to customers on-premise infrastructure.
Cyara Cloud Hosted Solution
In a hosted solution, the Cyara Platform and associated hardware are located across a range of Cyara’s secure data centers.
Users log in to the system via the Internet to configure Test Cases and Campaigns. The user then sends a request to Cyara administrators for a time slot for the Cruncher Campaign to be run. Cyara administrators will respond with a notification email confirming the time when the stress test Campaign will be run. When the Campaign is run, the Cyara Platform starts placing concurrent calls into the customer’s IVR via Cyara’s PoP (Point of Presence) using the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). The PoP includes the dialing engine, ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), and TTS (Text to Speech) modules. At present, the PoP is located at our secure data center.
As each call is made, the Cyara engine runs through the Steps in the associated Test Case to interact with the customer’s IVR just like a caller would. The time taken to connect, the time to receive the response, and the response itself are logged by Cyara for each call. The results of each Step of the call are also recorded.
Once a Campaign is run, the results are automatically compiled into a database (also hosted in the data center) and reports can be viewed online by logging back into the Cyara Platform.

On-Premises Solution
An on-premises solution is similar to a hosted solution except that all components are held within the customer’s premises or network. The Call Engine component of the Cyara Platform can be connected to a media gateway via SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). The gateway can interface to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) via E1s.
Users log in through the internal LAN and configure Test Cases and Campaigns. Unlike the hosted solution, there is no need to wait for a Campaign Run time to be approved, as all Campaigns can be automatically approved as an optional configuration.
When a test is run, the Cyara Platform starts placing concurrent calls into the customer’s IVR via the Call Engines connected to the Media Gateway.
As each call is made, the Cyara engine steps through the Steps in the associated Test Case to interact with the IVR just like a customer would. The time taken to connect, the time to receive the response, and the response itself is logged by Cyara for each call. The results of each step of the call are also recorded.
Once a Campaign is run, the results are automatically compiled into a database and reports can be viewed by logging back into the Cyara Platform.
