Cyara has developed an updated version of ALM Integration to run from Cyara Cloud. The integration supports ALM 15.0 version, ALM 15.5 version support coming soon.

The capabilities of the integration:

• Export of Voice Test Cases
• Export of Voice Test Results

Limitations:

• Voice channel only
• Test Cases and Blocks will be flattened
• No "Data Driven" information will be attached
• Issues could potentially occur with customized ALM workflow scripts

To get started with the Microfocus ALM / Quality Center Integration, note the following:

Networking

The ALM instance must be accessible over Internet or Cyara C3 connection.

The integration uses ALM / QC HTTPS REST API to ensure secure communications between the two parties.

Licensing

Cyara Platform integration with Quality Center is not available by default in the Cyara Platform. A license is required for the integration to be available. If an integration license is required, please contact your Cyara Account Manager for assistance.

Platform Availability

Integration 2.0 with Quality Center is only available for Cyara Cloud accounts.

Preparing ALM / QC

Before you begin exporting to Quality Center, it’s important to configure Quality Center for the incoming data as detailed in the Creating Statuses section below.

Creating Statuses

Two new statuses need to be manually created in Quality Center to avoid a loss of precision when exporting Campaign Results. These statuses are:

• Satisfactory
• Internal Error

Open QC Project Customization page and in “Project Entities” section pick “Test Instance” entity. Within “System Fields” modify Status attribute list by adding the above statuses.

If these statuses are not available in Quality Center during an export, then the following remapping will occur:

• Cyara’s Satisfactory status will be mapped to Passed.
• Cyara’s Internal Error status will be mapped to Failed.
