Masking Data From Pulse Dashboards

Cyara Pulse Dashboards can contain sensitive information such as PIN numbers or passwords as part of the Test Case data. In certain scenarios this information can be masked so that Users with the Dashboard role will not be able to see this information. To mask data from Pulse Dashboards follow the steps below;
Note: Only Users with the Dashboard Administrator role can mask/hide data from Pulse Dashboards
  1. Log in to the Cyara Portal as an Dashboard Administrator user.
  2. From the main menu, click the Execute > Pulse Config.
  3. To determine whether to mask the Reply field for Reporting users, enter Mask Reply Expression.
    The Mask Reply Expression is a regular expression you can apply to a Step description to determine whether to mask the Reply field.
    • The Mask Reply must be encased within rounded braces or parentheses. For example (expression1)
    • If you wish to mask more than one reply, you can define multiple expressions separated by the pipe ("|") symbol. For example, (expression1|expression2|expression3)

    When a User defined with only the Dashboard role views the Test Results page, any Step that has its description match the Mask Reply Expression will have its Reply field masked as below. This is to prevent access to certain sensitive data such as account numbers, PINs, or passwords.
